Hello all,

So I'1000 still a total noob at this and I'1000 a petty stuck here so idea I'd reach out for some advice with these pictures.  These are 24oz 5-grain alloy jars that have been colonizing for about two months (taken much longer than I thought merely they look good for you enough...)  They have stalled out at this indicate and are not colonizing whatsoever further, I'd say they are 90 - 95% colonized.  There are three of these jars in total and these pictures are of these 3 jars taken from multiple angles - the bottoms have not colonized fully in all of them, and in ane of them, in that location'south nearly an inch or so up the side that is blank as well.  In looking at them again today, and you can see in 1 of the pictures, i of them is actively pinning.

And so, what practise I do?  I was going to order some casing fabric today, wait until it comes in (near a week), then birth these cakes and...and then what?  Can these even exist used?  I guess I was going to accept them out of the bedroom they are in currently in a calendar week (once the casing comes in), run it under some tap water to remove the united nations-colonized grain, then put them all in a blender to break it up, then mix in with the casing fabric and set up fruiting weather once the myc ahas successfully re-colonized.  Could that still piece of work given the stage these are in, or did I wait to long or is that fact that they stalled out on the bottom an indication that the myc is just plain messed upwardly?

Would capeesh ANY pointers / advice on if I can save this detail grow or non, thank you lot -

And then are these cakes, or are you planning on spawning to bulk?  I am a little confused about that.

If these are grains that you are spawning to majority...

I am not saying this is the correct thing to do, simply in my feel, I take spawned jars that were 95% colonized to a bulk substrate.  I nevertheless got fruits and didn't see whatsoever noticeable difference between when my grains were 100% colonized.  You are probably at greater hazard for contamination this way though.  It's probably frowned upon a piffling bit, simply information technology's better than throwing information technology in the trash, IMO.

In the future, if you lot plan on spawning to majority, relieve some empty space in the height of your jar.  Then afterward you become a nice clamper of mycelium, y'all can milkshake the jar and spread it around.  This will permit your jars to colonize a lot quicker.  Can you analyze what type of Tek y'all are using with this grow?

Thanks, DigDug.  These are rye berries and I was planning on doing a monotub type grow with them, taking them out of the jars, breaking them upwardly, and and so mixing into a bulk substrate mix and calculation calorie-free and moisture...that said, could I also just put them in a regular fruiting sleeping room like BRF cakes and grow right off the sides?  Or tin you simply do that with BRF tek?

Those jars are super bacteria riddled. I would not mix them to bulk as the uncolonized grains will be super susceptible to molds.

Grab a spoon and scrape out whatever is colonised. It's better to get out some colonised spawn in the jar instead of trying to get every last scrap of it.

Hither is some good reading for your time to come grows - https://world wide web.shroomery.org/forumsouth/showflat.php/Number/24144021

Some of your terminology is off so could exist confusing to others. What y'all accept there is grain spawn. Which you would use to 'spawn to bulk' in a tub to create a monotub. So grain spawn + majority substrate (coir/vermiculite) would be mixed to brand a monotub or shoe box or tray. A casing is a layer you add together on peak of your mixed bulk.

All that said, you can apply those to spawn to majority even though one in item looks pretty bacterial. I would practise single shoe boxes or trays with each jar. Employ a spoon to break out the colonized grains and mix them by hand with your majority substrate. No blender for that.

They may have stalled because of overly moisture grains at the bottom, considering of leaner, or a lack of gas substitution. They seem pretty tall and slim and you don't actually accept whatever extra room inside. Like someone mentioned earlier you desire infinite at the elevation and so you can shake the jars once they're near 30% colonized.
